Applying to be a driver is easy as long as you and your vehicle meet requirements. Start your application through the app.

How to start an application

  1. Create a Hitchhyke account through the app.
  2. Enter your name, phone number, and email address, then submit all the info we need to ensure you meet the driver requirements and vehicle requirements. If you sign out of your account, any application info you've submitted will be saved.
Setting Up Payment Information

Hitchhyke uses Stripe to handle payments, and drivers must set up a Hitchhyke-connected Stripe account as part of the registration process. Here's how it works:

  1. Receiving the Email: During the sign-up process, you will receive an email with a link to set up your Hitchhyke-connected Stripe account. Make sure to check your inbox and follow the instructions.
  2. Providing Information to Stripe: Click on the link in the email and follow the prompts to provide the information required by Stripe. This will include personal details, bank information, and any other necessary information to set up your account. After submitting your information, you will need to wait for Stripe to verify your account. This process ensures that all payments are handled securely.
  3. Finishing Hitchhyke Registration: Once your Stripe account has been verified, you will be able to finish your Hitchhyke account registration. Congratulations! You're now ready to start offering rides on the Hitchhyke platform.

Remember to keep all your information up-to-date and accurate, as discrepancies might delay the verification process.
