The Platform Fee is an additional fee added on a per-ride basis. The fee helps support the Hitchhyke Platform and related services, including a broad spectrum of operating costs and safety measures like insurance and background checks.
If you’ve taken a ride recently, you’ll see a line item on your ride receipt that notes the fee unless we quoted the ride's upfront price before you requested. When we give an upfront price, the Platform Fee is included in a single total on your receipt.
